Still Life & Objects
Still Life & Objects explores how familiar things take on character through shape, surface and placement. A group of vessels studies volume and spacing; books and glasses suggest a pause after use; citrus, cloth and water bring color and light into focus. Each composition finds a different rhythm in everyday objects.
Vessels in Pale Light
An ivory pitcher, charcoal bottle and low terracotta-colored vessel form a quiet arrangement against pale blue. Their different heights and rounded profiles turn spacing, overlap and soft shadow into the structure of the composition.
After Reading
Reading glasses rest on two closed books in rust and burgundy, with cream cloth draped beside them. Seen from above, the arrangement balances the books’ firm diagonals with softer fabric and a dark wooden surface.
Citrus and Cobalt
Two whole lemons and a cut half sit beside a glass partly filled with water and folds of cobalt cloth. Yellow, blue and coral create a stronger color rhythm, while the glass and cast shadows connect the objects to the pale tabletop.
