Artwork in Space
Artwork in Space explores how selected compositions relate to the rooms around them. These three conceptual placement studies consider palette, scale and the relationship between artwork, furniture and architecture. Each imagined setting begins with an existing 5th Wall Editions work.
Passed Between — Hospitality Lounge
Conceptual placement study — hospitality lounge.
Passed Between hangs above a broad upholstered sofa in an imagined hospitality lounge. Warm wood, pale upholstery and restrained green accents connect the room to the artwork’s palette. The exchange between its two figures gives the seating group a human focal point.
Yellow Bearing — Private Dining
Conceptual placement study — private dining.
Yellow Bearing sits on a pale wall above dark timber paneling in an imagined private dining room. Its yellow and blue forms create a clear focal point beyond the long table. Warm pendant light and darker surrounding finishes give the composition a more concentrated setting.
Counterweight — Reading Retreat
Conceptual placement study — reading retreat.
Counterweight is placed above a low timber cabinet beside an upholstered reading chair. The work’s generous ivory field and two offset forms leave the wall visually open, while the wood tones and soft window light connect the framed composition to this imagined retreat.
